Becoming Catholic - Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)
Are You Interested in Becoming Catholic? Or, are you a baptized adult who has not yet received your first Communion or Confirmation? If you are interested in completing your sacraments of initiation (baptism, confirmation, and Eucharist), the RCIA program is for you!
OCIA, the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, is the celebration of initiation into Catholic life. The OCIA process teaches people about the Catholic tradition and helps people along the spiritual journey as they prepare to become full participants in the Catholic community. The sacraments of initiation are celebrated with the community at the Easter Vigil.
Adults who wish to practice the Catholic faith and participate in the Catholic sacraments should call to learn more about the OCIA process. Contact Deacon Bob Landuyt at 708-423-8110 or [email protected] for more information.
OCIA for Children
If you are the parent of a child or children who need to receive any of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation), please contact Tina O’Shea, Coordinator of Faith Formation, at 708-423-8110 or [email protected] for more information.
